Middle Things APC-R Mini Lite Transform any DJI RS-series gimbal into a fully controllable PTZ head over network. The APC-R Mini Lite enables you to combine your favorite gimbals into a high-quality affordable remote camera, seamlessly fitting into your live production workflow. It serves as an alternative to all-in-one PTZ heads, offering the advantage of larger sensors and custom lenses. With the Middle Control Mac OS desktop software, you can map any USB Gaming joystick axes and buttons to gimbal actions such as Pan / Tilt / Roll / Speed or Zoom motor. Or you can use the professional dedicated Middle Remote controller. This allows you to turn your existing camera setup into a high quality PTZ head, at an affordable price. Features Remote Gimbal Control The APC-R Mini Lite connects to and draws power directly from the RSA accessory port of your gimbal. You can connect it to your network using LAN Ethernet. Using the Middle Control software, you can control up to 8 DJI gimbals remotely from a single laptop, using the Middle Remote or a USB gaming controller and over long distance Ethernet, just as a regular PTZ camera. Remote Camera Control The APC-R Mini Lite does not interface directly with the camera, but you can still control your camera through Middle Control over the network using one of the following: - Blackmagic ATEM switchers (SDI / HDMI) for supported Blackmagic cameras - Middle Control Pro extension for IP-based cameras, such as Sony models This allows for a unified control experience where Middle Control acts as a control hub for both your Gimbal & Camera. Multiple Control Options Mounting the APC-R Mini Lite on your gimbal will allow for multiple control options over the network, straight from Middle Control centralized app : - USB Gaming Joysticks - Middle Remote - BitFocus Companion - Visca over IP with Middle Control Pro - Custom TCP commands with the SDK/API Save Position Presets You can save custom Pan / Tilt / Roll and Zoom presets and recall them later. If Middle Control is also connected to your camera, add features like ISO / White Balance / Focus / Iris to your presets. BitFocus Companion Support The APC-R Mini Lite can be controlled using a Streamdeck through BitFocus companion. With a Streamdeck, you can not only control, adjust, and monitor camera and gimbal settings, but also save and recall presets, rename presets, create custom pages, and use data from the gimbal and camera as variables for other Companion integrations. Multiple Gimbals Support You can control up to 8 different gimbals and cameras using our system. You can control all of the gimbals & cameras using the same joystick, but you need to attach one APC-R Mini Lite to each gimbal you want to control. Differences between APC-R Mini and APC-R Mini Lite The APC-R Mini Lite features the same core hardware, functionality, and performance as the APC-R Mini, but in a more cost-effective form. To achieve this, it does not include: Wi-Fi connectivity Bluetooth connectivity Built-in tally light Although the APC-R Mini Lite does not support Bluetooth camera control for Blackmagic cameras, many Blackmagic models can still be controlled through ATEM switchers over SDI/HDMI. Since Middle Control interfaces with the ATEM, camera control remains possible through that connection.
